PLEASE SEE FOOT OF PAGE FOR DOWNLOADABLE REHOMING PACK
We do not publish photographs of dogs waiting for homes. The simple reason is that it is an ever changing picture and we would not want you to fall in love with a picture and then find the dog is unavailable or unsuitable.
We have dogs available in the South & North and a few currently in kennels. Contact Any of our Area Coordinators to arrange a home visit by one of our helpers.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS CAN ONLY BE TAKEN INTO KENNELS IN A GENUINE EMERGENCY. WE CAN CERTAINLY HELP IF YOU HAVE A DOG THAT YOU NEED TO REHOME BUT WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PLACE IT IN A NEW HOME IMMEDIATELY.
Sadly at this time of the year we have many dogs into rescue with people going on holiday and not wanting to pay kennel fees. We currently have dogs of all age groups looking for new homes. Please contact your nearest coordinator by going to our Area Contacts page.
Unlike some rescue organisations - all our dogs are thoroughly vetted before they are taken on to our books. Families are matched with the right dog to suit their needs and those of the dog. We do rehome dogs with children but only provided we know the full history of the dog.
Dogs will not be rehomed with families until they have been visited and checked in their own home. We do not accept home visit reports by any other Organisation preferring to meet you and the family and chat face to face. This is an important decision you are making and we want you to make the right choice as we hope the dog will be with you for the rest of its life.
You should not accept dogs from anyone who states that they will accept another organisations home vetting as they do not have the information that we do and therefore would not be in a position to match you up with your new family member. We place a great deal of emphasis on matching the
RIGHT DOGto the RIGHT HOME.
+++WARNING+++
Never accept a dog that is passed on to you in a motorway service area (manyService Areas will report to the police, unloading/selling of dogs in their car parks), lay-by or arrange to meet someone in any car park. The dog you are collecting could be stolen, imported from Ireland with no documentation. It could also be the carrier of potential fatal disease. Always remember the golden rule any reputable Rescue will want to see the dog in your home and not just dump it anywhere.
Please note we will not home dogs that are to be left for more than 4 hours per day as many dogs come into rescue because their previous owners have had to leave them for long hours on their own.
Once we have found a suitable dog for you then it is brought to your home by one of our helpers to ensure that all is well. We will not rehome dogs other than by this method unless the dog is currently in kennels or in foster when we can make arrangements for you to view the dog. We will keep in touch with you after placement and offer a 24/7 help line to ensure that everything goes smoothly, and you may always contact us for help and advice.
The quicker we receive your completed form means you are one step nearer to getting your new family member.
We are also in urgent need of Foster homes in all areas.
Foster Carers have dogs needing rehabilitation after operations or whilst they wait for a new home as an option to us putting them into kennels. All veterinary bills are paid and food is also supplied. Please contact your nearest Area Coordinator for further details.
